  • Not normal, and you should probably seek counseling before your health is seriously compromised.

  • I know the feeling. I always think I have a huge stomach, but when I look in the mirror, it looks err... okay. With skinny people, body perception is different because, as we're so skinny anyway, we notice tiny fluctuations in weight patterns far more than 'normal' people. You might want to either pass up on the exercise a little bit or eat more, as a lot of exercise and little food can do you less favours in the long term.

I know it's easier said than done, but seriously, there's a reason why the body feels hunger, and the less you eat NOW, the more weight you're likely to put on if you decide to eat healthier later on. Limiting meals now will confuse your metabolism, making it slow down and causing you to gain weight when you do eat, whereas if you eat three meals a day (they don't have to be huge), your body knows what's happening and can be happily digesting your last meal and waiting for the next one, rather than demanding food when it's starving, and storing more fat because it simply has no idea when its next meal will be.

  • I had this same problem. I'd look at myself in the mirror and think i was fat but everyone would always comment on how skinny I was, and some people even said i looked anorexic (I NEVER starved myself).

I lost 14 pounds in a month just recently and so I'm finally beginning to think better of myself again. >_>" Even though I knew I wasn't fat I still felt fat.

  • When you look down, you see a different angle from when you look in the mirror.
looking down at yourself, would naturally make you look fatter than looking in the mirror because of the odd angle.
Just trust what you see in the mirror because that is what other people see.

  • Well, while I would say it's COMMON, it's definitely not normal. I always think girls who carry on about their weight and whine about how fat they are when they AREN'T fat are really ... ridiculous. I think they KNOW they aren't fat but are kind of desperate for attention and the approval of other people. They want to hear people tell them how sexy they are. I've been a size 00 and all the way up to a size 7. Now I am like a 4. I also think a lot of girls have a misconception about what looks good and what the majority of men find appealing. Men don't like skin and bones girls at alllllll. I don't think you think you're overweight, no offense. Nobody who has ribs poking out thinks they are overweight, but they may mistakenly want to lose more weight to be even bonier.
