Is it normal to have dreams in which the dream is reality?

i often have dreams which are real. i don't mean that they SEEM real, i mean that they ARE real. totally real. each night, my dream becomes the REAL world, and so called "reality" becomes a dream. when i go to sleep, i wake up. it's nutty, i know, but i've learned to live with it.

it's like i'm living two separate lives. one where i do normal stuff, and one where i can fly. but they're both real. just, at different times.

i'm not sure which is reality and which is the dream anymore. i think they're both at the same time.

please tell me if this is normal, and please, don't say your dreams SEEM real, this one IS real. and maybe i'm having it right now.

I have that happen occasionally. The dream is so real. I'll wake up and be surprised I am in bed.
I have a post on here about the same thing.

No, I don't think this is normal. But yes, I have the same affliction. That's why I'm on this site, to see if there are others.

I've been living two separate lives since a child, but I wouldn't dream this other reality every night: more like once a week and sometimes only monthly. But a few years ago, it got worse, and now I at least wake up in this alternate reality once a week, most of the time more.

This "dream" always has the same story, and I'm always the same person. It's always in first person, just like in this world. It's a huge interconnection of places I could never imagine with my own mind, surely. I travel and make decisions and talk to people as I wish. I've made a few close friends: when one of them died, it was the same as losing someone here, and I mourned. The feelings are real, it is real.

I don't know which reality is more dominant anymore, I've accepted both as truth. It can be interesting but it's hard sometimes, and a separation of these two places is definitely needed. If you want some advice, here you go: do NOT let the two realities cross paths. Try not to mention this world in your "dream" world and if you start seeing iterations of your dream world here, please try to correct it as soon as possible. I let this happen and I can't go back, both worlds are a part of me now, and I'm way too invested in something I don't understand.

Anyway, that's not important anymore. What's done is done. Mostly, the way to separate is think: you have to sleep in order to wake up "there", right? Are you suddenly pulled out of your other world in order to wake up here? That's a good indication of separation.

I'm not saying your other life is not real, I'm actually saying quite the opposite. You may live in two separate realities, one with different rules than the other. You may always be concurrently living in both places: who knows? It's best to accept this about yourself and live life to the fullest, in both realities. It may be a blessing or a curse depending on the situation, but may as well make the most of it.

Oh, and be careful who you share this with, though I'm sure you already know that. Most people would think you're delusional. Most aren't so open minded.

    Either way, happy dreaming :)

both dreams are both real life and a dream simultaneously. They seem equally real. I am not sure which one I was born in, therefore I do not know which one is real. In one, the one i am writing from right now, I'm just like the rest of everybody here on earth, but in the other world, I am Galaxia the supremo, who flies around the city of imperios. Neither one seems strange. When I tell people on earth about my imperios dream, they think it's weird. when I tell people in Imperios about my earth dreams, they think it's weird. both parties are equally unhelpful. This is a big problem.
