Is it normal to have dreams as series

My dreams and nightmares are usually episodes of different series. There are places and people who I visit repeatedly. Places which I never visited in real life. I wanna see if the other experience such a thing.

It's like I have a whole other life when I close my eyes, and go to sleep.

A few of the dreams that I can remember are series. There were two where I went to "Santa's Castle," two where I was a child in a zombie apocalypse video game, two where I went to a library and fell from the second floor, and there is probably a few more that I forgot about.

I pick up where my last dream left off a lot of times.

Sometimes I have dreams that take place in third person and play out like a movie. It has happened that I wake up, then when I fall back asleep the dream continues like a series episode 2.

Recurring dreams and serial dreams are very normal. They’re a message from your subconscious about a wish fulfillment, or a desire for a change. Also, depending on the context, they may have a physical component, such as a regular pain you’ve been feeling.
