Is it normal to have disrepect for famous or important people?

In my experience, people that care THAT MUCH about the lives of celebrities or other folks in general are usually folks that are not content with their own lives. They'd prefer to sit back and say "OMG Lindsay Lohan got anothr dui wut a dum bich how r celebs so dum" as they jerk off their best friend's fiance while snorting some coke.

its one thing to feel indifferent about people but you should disrespect someone just because they have a certain career, that's irrational.

to hate watching sports enough to want to leave the company of your friends solely because they get paid to much (which they obviously do) does sound a bit overly cynical.
not caring about celebrities though is definitely normal- but i think you should give the rest of the people around you a bit more credit. most people dont actually care about them either i think, but a lot of times its just an easy way to make small talk or transition into other, more interesting conversation. its not worth getting annoyed over

I mean, theres a difference. I like film so I like good actors and actresses. I like music, so I cant say I dont respect the artists whove been writing the songs that soundtrack my life.

Spoiled annoying rich celebrities and whos dating who and whos on what drug? I couldnt care less.

I also dont like sports and im hating football more and more those idiotic fans are the cause...

It's all supply and demand. Not many people get to be sports superstars, and there's a gigantic demand for them as entertainment. Though I do think it's utterly ridiculous how much these people get paid.

I think some of them put in a lot of effort but they get paid too much.
