Ok, I'm going to say this again: RAPE DOES NOT TURN PEOPLE GAY.

That is a myth. Some people are raped before they realise that they're gay, and some bisexuals may decide not to have sex with people of the gender of their rapist, but rape doesn't turn people gay. It doesn't. Stop saying that.

I absolutely hate this debate. People comment on it saying it is genetic when they have no knowledge of behavioural science or genetics to back up their claims.

It has already been confirmed to be genetic, gay people are simply born that way.

I'm not sure. I think it varies between men and women and also by the individual. I'd say there's two main types of gay men:

1- The men who desire to be in an effeminate role, usually caused by over-attachment to their mother probably in addition to genes

2- The men who are simply attracted to other men because they could not conceive of anything different, this is probably primarily genetic and the person has little to no control over it

For women, I think it's somewhat different. Some women experiment with other women or develop an attraction to other women but it's all for the entertainment of men. Some women probably also have a desire to be in a masculine role because of their life circumstances and all along with genetics playing a role. Also, there probably are a lot of women who are attracted to other women's bodies partly because culture places a lot of emphasis on women as sexy and attractive.

I think it is a choice above all . You choose who you sleep with or circumstances as in rape .

you arnt born with it. i was gay my whole life and never attracted to women. now I am attrcted to women more than men

It's just like any other sexual fetish, you see something that your brain tells you you like but is considered abnormal by societies majority.

In other words, it's hardwired into the brain and you are born that way.
