It may seem like deja-vu but it's not. It is indeed normal, especially when you are a little over-tired. Basically what happens is that your brain logs what's currently happening as a memory instead of recognizing it as "right now". Truly is an odd feeling but that's whats going on.
Ah, that makes sense. It might be calmer now because I've been sleeping much better than usual. However, I never felt it during my only fit of insomnia - for a week I could sleep no more than three hours, if at all. Never did understand why it came around.
