I'm white and my mom used to tear my ass up. I think it really depends a lot on your class. The upper class parents don't spank their children as much, but if you come to the middle class or to people below the poverty line parents are just as bad. My mom used to make tobasco sauce on my tongue when I acted up, or hit me with a Lowe's paint stick. Yeah, I whined at the time, but it made me a better woman.
