I've never felt nervous or afraid around any men unless they had extenuating reasons I should be like walking on my heels or anything. Actually, big scary guys make me feel a little safer as long as they seem nice. My dad is huge and scary to others so maybe I just assume there all nice. And if there nasty seeming, oh well, I carry a gun or mace wherever I go. Maybe it would ease your mind a little to take a self defence class and/or gun and gun safety courses. I'm 5'3" but I can flip a man twice my size with no effort thanks to self defence :)
