Totally normal. First time I tried mary jane, afterwards i wanted to trip on all the drugs out there because i was so curious. The way I saw it was that different drugs give you different feelings, and if maryj was only one type of feeling which i could never grasp/ understand before i tried it, this only fueled my curosity. To only imagine what other drugs do is a waste of time until you've experienced it, cause you never could possibly imagine. simple.
