Is it normal to have an extreme fear of zombies?

I know almost everyone who have seen zombie horror films are quite scared of them but for me scare or terrified isn't even the right word. it's my worst ever fear and I am not scared easily, I do enjoy watching torture porn and really gory stuff but the thought of zombies makes me literally frozen in place. Can't really explain why but I don't understand why everyone isn't as terrified as me? sometimes I would cry myself to sleep at the thought of them or throw up watching these films, it's not the rotten faces of the zombies that make me throw up but the thought of being surrounded by dozens of moving bodies that are dead just terrifies me and most of the times when I watch the film I would get so worried and cry myself to sleep. does anyone else have the same reaction??

    Well I would be terrified too if there was walking/sprinting legion of unfeeling cannibals.

    Thankfully a zombie apocalypse would be incredibly short.

    It's like Ebola. Ebola kills faster than it can spread and is super obvious when you have it. Thus containment is easier. The zombies kill even faster and are even more obvious but with the added notion of just killing the infected.

    On top of the rate of decay a zombie could walk around for maybe a week before a few vital ligaments break and boom cant walk anymore. Two weeks later they woulnt be able to move.

    Get a sharpened stick and you will be fine. A spear is the best zombie weapon.

    Not saying the article itself was factual but I read a thread where someone posted an article saying it was from the cdc about “what to do in case of a zombie apocalypse” and I thought that was odd.
