Is it normal to have a zip fetish?

  • Hey there.
I just want to say a few things first.
    1. This is a very rare and uncommon fetish but you are not alone.
    2. For the longest time, all my life, all the way up until I saw your post, I honestly thought I was alone.
    3. I'm married...

I am female. And I have had this fetish since I could ever remember. I like just about the same thing except not only a zipper down the front but I like zipper pockets as well. Just like you, I am picky about the placement and type of top.
I've never been able to find anyone who I could talk to about this or who understands..
I hope you find your soul mate. I hope you can have the excitement that you need with someone else who understands..
Just know you are not alone. I don't know you but I know the pain that comes with this fetish and the longing for connection. <3

    • Hi,

I've had the same fetish for as long as I can remember. I have to say it's nice to see more people that have this.

And as you, I have always thought I'd be the only one, because it really is uncommon.

Funny thing, I really like firebird jackets too (on women)

      • I'm glad more people are finding my post and commenting, it makes us realise we aren't alone. I want a way to give it more exposure without revealing my identity, at least not without a reasonably sized community behind it first.

I doubt a dedicated website would get much traffic as the fetish is so specific and so few and far between but I think getting people with this fetish to connect would be the best thing that could happen to us.

It needs a name too like "Ziplogophilia" or something.

PS: If you like firebird jackets, look up "Adidas chile 62 womens" on Shinysports.com. You won't be disappointed.

    • Thankyou, it feels much better having people to relate to about my fetish and also knowing that it's not restricted to males.

Zip pockets do actually work as a bit of an extra for me too but they have to be symmetrical and only have the zip visible, like it doesn't work if you can see the pocket from the outside.

The zip type comes into it a bit too but isn't essential. I don't particularly like zips with the wide molded plastic teeth, they don't sound good and they aren't smooth like the nylon coil ones. Metal ones always look good but don't have the sound and tend to not be smooth.

If you get the chance to comment then you should comment a few brand logos or words that work as an extra turn on for the left chest, I'd be interested to make a comparison. I can't reel them all off the top of my head but I like Adidas, Asics, Kathmandu, Columbia, Marmot, Stussy, etc. It depends on the aesthetics of the word but I honestly couldn't tell you what technically makes a word pleasing even though it's been there my whole life.

PS, I had to make a new account because I forgot my recovery email.

      • ...see, for me, it is the plastic teeth that do it, and long zip pull. Thankfully, I have an understanding partner who will run with it, and she’ll zip me up. God, it turns me on when a coat’s zip is clipped together ☺️

        • For me it's a combination, Nice long smooth zip combined with a well placed logo and a reasonably tight fit.

Nylon coil zips are nice because of the sound and the sheen they have. I prefer embroidered logos as they have a bit of 3rd dimension, look better, feel nicer and you often feel it against your skin wearing it.

For me, bare minimum required to do the job is a full length visible zip and a specific left chest logo/word. The exact logo/word is actually a major factor.
