Is it normal to have a triple-jointed thumb?

For some reason, I was born with both my thumbs having three segments instead of the normal two. They look sort of like an index finger in that sense and I can bend all three joints like a index finger. My thumbs are also pretty long because of this and they can sometimes get in the way. Is this in any way normal?

    No, No, No!!!! Here I am trying to sleep and reading this has left ma very disturbed... It could be broken or this is probably being caused by something else... Either way, none of this is normal! Please, Please, Plaza see a doctor now!!!!
