Is it normal to have a strongly prefered side?

I wonder if other people have it too? I am lefthanded, I eat with my left hand, I chew with my left side, I see better with my left eye, I hear better with my left ear, I prefer to sit on the left side (car, table, etc), I sleep on the left side of the bed and also on my left side. I'm always drawn to the left side of a room. I prefer to see my left side in a mirror.
I never really did that on purpose it just feels better.

Now, that sounds like you're just bragging that you can actually tell left from right... :(

Sometimes I still have to do that L shape with my hand.

Haha, yeah, that has never worked for me, both sides make a perfectly good "L" in my brain.

I always get stuck trying to choose one and just helplessly move my hand about and look ridiculous

That's why I've given up and just go with my instincts when told to move or look left or right. 35 to 50% success rate... hehe.

In my brain the L on the left hand is facing the right way :)

I have the same, but with the right side.
Except holding knife and fork. I always naturally use them the other way around.

It sounds fine. But it also sounds like something a person with OCD tendencies would do.

Never heard of that before, but I see nothing wrong.
