I found this funny because I can see why a straight person would think that, but the reality is much different. You are far more likely to find a straight man who wants to perform anal sex as a giver than a gay may. Putting aside the obvious fact that there are far more straight men to being with, many straight men fantasize about doing this, and/or actually do it. With gay men, more are thinking about and/or having it performed on them then there are thinking about performing it. The top to bottom ratio is way off in the gay community.
