Is it normal to have a reoccurring urge every time you get drunk/high

Every time my boyfriend gets drunk or high he has this insane urge to get a face tattoo. We live just a few blocks down from a tattoo parlor.

He's got his own stage of drunkness right after the sloppy stage where you absolutely can not leave him alone by himself cause he will march his vodka-poisoned ass down to the tattoo parlor and demand a face tattoo.

He's made it all the way to the parlor about 6 times but thank god they know him now and just give him some water until I get there and drag his dumbass back home.

    Tell him you'll dump him if he ever gets a stupid face tattoo, and then if he does it actually follow through and dump his ass. The fact that he gets as drunk as what you're describing is a very bad sign in and of itself! You can probably do better.
