that's not really normal, but i know what you're talking about. after a year--however--it's not the weed anymore. my doctor told me that it's usually not the weed after the first day or two (i had a similar experience.. panic attack).
there is probably something underlying there. i would advise you to see a doctor. sometimes exercise and a healthy diet can work for this. also, you're probably putting too much emphasis on the feeling weed gives you. i know a little how it is to put emphasis on it, because i used to do that too (and would freak myself out). but just realize that you're not high anymore. there's nothing in your system. furthermore, the pot hasn't actually re-wired anything in your brain, so that all of it is just the same.
i think you're correlating it with the wrong thing. in my case, my doctor told me my weird episode was just low blood sugar that sparked the panic attack (and maybe because the feeling of being high was fresh in my mind). don't put so much emphasis on it. do rational exercises to make you think about eliminating it. tell yourself:
1. i don't feel guilty for smoking
2. life is filled with all sorts of perils, and how could i have known this would happen?
3. it's just a HERB.
you might also want to try some meditation or the like..
sorry i wrote so much on it lol. if i were you i would definitely consider seeing a doctor (don't know why you haven't yet!)
not a psychiatrist. just see a regular family doctor. you might have depression or anxiety or something.. chances are before you smoked you may have had a latent anxiety disorder (which sometimes happens in the case of prolonged depersonalization).
maybe you really just had a bad trip and you're having trouble processing it. but remember that it's all in your head.
you need to develop some positive strategies to cope. go to the doctor (first thing).
maybe talk to your parents and explain to them what has happened. some of this isolation might be because you feel guilty for 'doing this to yourself' without knowing the side-effects (like 'how could i be so stupid'?). i think talking about it will help. and MORE IMPORTANTLY, did you talk to your friends about it?
i'd be willing to help you out.
if you like, email me [email protected]
i know a little of what you're experiencing (to a certain extent) and i am willing to speak with you.
Is it normal to have a really bad trip the first time you try weed?
