I'm going to say this is normal because in my 'travels' for information regarding my sexual preferences, I've found that there are many people in the world that have very specific tastes in this realm that many would think odd (I know many people think mine pretty strange).
However, what I've also found out (I've been married and my wife was fine with what my interests were, even roleplayed some of them with me) that there is(are) someone(many people) out there for you.
With the amount of people in the world, There is a almost infinite probability that someone will be perfect for you and like to be on the other side of that.
And when it comes down to matters of sexual preference, most are concerned with what it will affect regarding dating other people. Which in this case, there are (you'd be surprised) quite a few people who would love nothing more than this.
