Is it normal to have a phobia of cows?

  • It's not a phobia; it's fear based on a very real danger.

In Britain, 17 people were killed by cows in the period 2001-11, and many other people were injured or pursued.

Some of those incidents involved walkers who had dogs with them, which cows see as a danger. Cows with calves are notoriously nervous and defensive.

The CDC estimates that an average of 22 people are killed by cows every year in the USA, and that the majority of those cases were deliberate attacks, not farm accidents:

Cows don't have claws or fearsome teeth and they aren't the most nimble of animals, but they can move pretty damn fast for something that weighs the better part of a tonne, and you really don't want to end up under a herd of them.

    • Cows are assholes. I really have no qualms about eating steak. You don’t even have to provoke them a lot of the time. They just get pissed off and charge.
