Is it normal to have a lot of pain when having anal sex

I am male. I recently allowed a man to have anal sex with me. It was my first time. I had to ask him to stop before he came because it was too painful for me. Is this what other people experience or do I have some kind of anal problem? I have had hemorrhoids in the past but not at that time. I fantasize about having anal with other men but I'm afraid of the pain.

    I'm guessing you didn't do any prep work before your first time. There are toys you can use to slowly work your way up and lots of different lubes you can use. You won't feel any pain when it's done correctly.
