Of course its normal, it wouldn't be normal if you removed your pants for every male friend you met, which you don't I'm sure. I have a lot of female friends and a majority of them are better at conversation than my male friends. It doesn't mean I think about them in freaky ways.
Oh wait, I do. But hey, I keep it friendly and know not to make jokes like that unless that is how open they are to that sort of topic or in better situations, end up being a girlfriend by mutual attraction anyway. Its cool, keep making guy friends as long as its a clear friendly thing, nothing is wrong.
