Is it normal to have a fear of driving

My stepmom has a fear of driving more specifically over bridges and freeways, she feels like she might pass out and has a panic attack she turns on her hazards and pulls to the side. I have asked her if anything has happened to her that would give her this feeling or if she picked it up from someone in her family she answered no. Does this happen to anyone else?

    not quite that badly, but whenever someone drives over railroad tracks i get panicked for like 1 second until they get off them... because i have seen so many videos of cars getting smashed by trains...
    maybe ur stepmom's afraid the bridge will collapse like the tacoma narrows or somethin

    That's normal. And besides, taking the bus is a lot better; So you don't have to worry about sucking at driving, when shit happens; Blame everything on the bus driver.

    I think it's normal. I am scared when I drive next to a truck or big vehicle because I am afraid they will cut me off, I'll crash into it and die in an explosion. Yeah.
