Is it normal to have a fear of dirty dishes?

I think I have a fear of dirty dishes. I googled what it would be called and everyone is calling it laziness. It's not that I don't like doing dishes, it's just that I can't stand touching the old crusty food that's stuck to the plate/bowl. I hate the dirty dish water too. I can't describe how I feel when I have to touch a dirty dish, it's almost like I'm having a panic attack but not as bad. I'm convinced I have some kind of phobia of dirty dishes. If anyone knows what it's called or has this phobia/fear to, let me know.

I think they are really disgusting but I don't fear them.

Here's an idea. Use disposable dishes and utensils. Then you won't have to wash them anymore. Just pitch them out in the trash.

Its just like sex. While you're doing it, the mess is ok & feels good, but then when you wake up & are all sticky & gooey, You don't like it.

Buy some rubber gloves, and take Ellenna's advice about soaking the dishes. I always soak dishes before I put them in the dishwashing machine. I love using gloves for this sort of chore.

That does sound phobic. If you fill the sink with hot water and put the dishes in to soak for a while after scraping them first you won't have to deal with old crusty food.

Dirty dishes don't scare me but I do hate having them piled up: I live alone but some days I swear someone comes into my home and creates more washing up for me to do!
