Is it normal to have a dream of killing someone?

I saw a post on here but it was a couple years old where a bunch of people were having recurring dreams where they are feeling an overwhelming fear of being caught after hiding a body of someone that they killed, they don't remember killing them but they know they did it. Well that discussion scared me because I had a dream where I intentionally killed someone but I remember killing them. I strangled them in a bathroom with a cord and I think I knew who they were but I don't remember anymore and now I'm having recurring dreams where I just feel so guilty and in the dream ive told this one kid and just keep telling him how I don't know why but I had to kill that person. Killing them felt so real almost like a memory and I have to keep waking up and telling myself that it didn't happen. I'm not going to go into detail of when I killed them cause it really was disturbing and terrible and I wanted to stop strangling them but for some reason I knew I had to and I feel so guilty for this dream I don't know what's wrong.

Is it a person you know that you killed in your dreams? Or is this just something your mind made up when you were sleeping?

I wonder what kind of things are happening in your subconscious. Only you can really find out for yourself why you're having these dreams, but I figure dreams are pretty fair game--nothing is too "abnormal" when you're in the astral plane. I've had dreams where I threaten coworkers' lives with a knife, where I get in a gunfight with my next-door neighbors, where I purposefully crash my car into pedestrians. I felt kind of bad about the pedestrians upon waking. Kind of.

I've linked an article beneath about dreaming, it basically says that no, you aren't replaying things from your life. Personally, I remember waking up after a lovely dream, I ran downstairs and asked if I could play with my dollhouse. I didn't have one, I had dreamed it and it was so vivid that I literally just ran with it like a memory. It means nothing, probably, sleep easily and relax. If your feeling this guilty, you don't sound the type to murder anyway, based on my NCIS viewings.

I had a dream where I went on a shooting spree, but I've never had a dream of distinctly killing a specific person or persons.
