Is it normal to have a double standard about sandals?

I'm a guy and I wear sandals at home for comfort purposes, but I feel self-conscious about people seeing me wear them, and I am adamant about putting on close-toed shoes if I have to go anywhere. I personally feel like men who wear sandals in public places just can't be bothered to make themselves look socially presentable. The double standard is I think sandals look good on women for the exact same reason: That they've chosen something comfortable instead of feeling like they have to impress anyone. I have never and would never criticize anyone for their choice of footwear, but is it weird to have this mindset?

  • The only men who should wear sandals are hippies and Roman soldiers.

Yes. People are stupid. They'd rather put something that is the norm and fashion instead of something comfortable.
You should just wear what you're better in, regardless of people stupidity. Your health is more important than fashion.

What size condom does your girlfriend wear? Does she buy them herself or do you pick 'em up for her?
