Is it normal to have a dirty and smelly belly-button?

Everytime I clean my belly-button its both smelly and dirty. It takes a lot of time in cleaning up my belly button even if i do it everyday.

Is It Normal?

    My buddy had this as well but it bothered him moreso than anyone else. Honestly I don't think I would have ever found out if he wasn't so insecure about it.

    I know it's near your stomach, but it's not there to store food for later.

    Well supposedly there is a whole world of cultures and bacteria that live in your belly button. So i guess maybe you have a full ecosystem in there.

    Maybe it is very deep, and it accumulates sweat, dirt, and bacteria. You might even have a whole ecosystem in there!
