Is it normal to have a dip in the upper part of your ear?

I have a dip in my upper right ear and it looks like it was cut out. I was born with it and have always been curious about it. I want to find out if it is normal.

    What with us not being able to see your ear, I have no idea.

    My brother and two of my aunts have chips out of their left ear. So I'm going to say normal most likely genetic.
