Definitely normal. I graduated last June and throughout middle school/high school I always had crushes on teachers. Never had a hot principal, but same goes for that. I've always loved older men, so teachers just made sense. He may or may not like you, but just a word of advice, don't take the plunge and go for it, if you were considering that. It could end badly.
