Is it normal to have a conversation with the ceiling

I gave up talking to the ceiling because I felt it was always looking down on me.

A lot of people talk to random things. The ceiling, a stuffed animal, a picture, themselves, etc. I think it's just a way to process thoughts - some people find it easier to verbally get it all out. I wouldn't worry, it may not be the most common behavior but it's fairly normal.
