Is it normal to have a bad trip/hallucinate from weed?

  • Cannabis is much more potent orally than it is smoked. You're an occasional user, and you consumed something intended for people with very high tolerance. And you did this in a noisy, chaotic, unfamiliar environment. And you're SURPRISED that you had a bad trip? I'm really not trying to be a jerk; I'm just trying to point out how inevitable your experience was. You should have tried a very small amount of the cookie first, to test its strength and how much it was going to affect you, before eating as much as half of it. This is a garden-variety overdose. Most of the vomiting and such was from sensory overload more than the cannabis itself.

    • Also, I disagree completely with people who are saying it was laced, or that you should never use cannabis again. Just because you have one bad experience with something does NOT mean you shouldn't ever do it again! Didn't your parents teach you guys not to be quitters? Jeez.

Incidentally, why do so many people seem to think that every bad reaction to cannabis means someone is "allergic" to it? Since when did "allergic" mean "reacts badly to" in general? Here I thought allergies were very specific things with very specific symptoms.
