Is it normal to have a 3 way with your kid in the room?

Is it normal to have a threesome in the same room that your toddler is sleeping in?

At first thought, my response was, "these people are disgusting how can they do that with the kid in the room!?" But then again, maybe I'm freaked out by nothing? Is that really acceptable?

Might I add this wasn't a quiet concealed three way it was loud and quite a bit of banging involved.

Is that kind of behaviour weird or do all the young people do this now?

Kids know more than you would think! DON'T do this! Put the kid in the bathroom in a swing or something!

Does the kid stay asleep? Even if he does I wouldn't risk it.

I'd try to do it in another room, but if thats the only option available, then...never pass upa 3way! lol

Speaking from my own experience.. i heard my mom with diff guys when i was pretty young.. not as young as 3 I was 5-7...It awakened something in me b/c i def enjoyed hearing it and was able to process what was going on. But at 3, like Boojum said, its highly unlikely the tyke would even remember

I think it depends on how old the child is and how soundly it sleeps.

When our kid was a toddler (one to three years old), it was extremely difficult to wake her - once she eventually fell asleep. I'm sure a fire alarm going off right next to her bed wouldn't have disturbed her.

Age is important because small children don't have the capacity to understand what sex is about. They certainly have no idea that a three-way is something unusual. If a two-year-old woke up while there were sexual gymnastics underway in the room, the worst that's likely to happen is that the kid would interpret what they saw as a fight and believe that the sounds their mother was making were because she was being hurt. (Or the kid might see a rough-house wrestling game and want to get involved in the fun!)

Unless this is something that happens all the time, it's highly unlikely the kid will have any memory of it when he or she grows up. For the vast majority of adults, their memories of young childhood are sketchy at best. In fact, there's good evidence that most of what we do remember from that period of our lives are memories we have manufactured after later being told things by our parents or other adults, seeing pictures or watching videos.

Something else to bear in mind is that our current beliefs about what it is and isn't appropriate for children to see and hear when it comes to sex are relatively recent. For almost all of human history and in almost all cultures, families slept in very close proximity, and children would have been exposed to sexual activity - even if it was often limited to only what they heard in the dark - from the time they were infants. Since kids have always been kids, it's certain they would have been curious about what was going on, and they would have found out the details much earlier than most children do these days.

    • Before I continue, I want to thank you for giving me your detailed thoughts in the matter. I feel like you have an intereting viewpoint.

Maybe Im just a prude but just the thought that a person having a threesome with a child present in the room is odd to me and kinda gross whether the kid is sleep or not. Like do what ever you want to do but keep the child away from it.

Sure a kid may or may not remember but young ones are still learning and growing. They innocently soak up everything they see and try to imitate it. If your doing the do just all out in the wild with your child right there and they see chances of them trying to imitate what your doing become higher than they would be if they never saw in the first place. I also feel just becasue someone won't remember doesnt mean you should do it. An extreme example, just becasue a baby won't remember being cursed at, and talked to like its garbage doesnt mean a person should do it. You could get a marker and write the word 'loser' on a kids forehead,(or any word for that matter), they won't remember but you probably still shouldnt do that.

Current beliefs may be different from back then but that was a different era as well. People way back when did things they probably shouldnt have because they didnt know any better. Technology and knowledge wasbt as advance as it is now. But again, even if it has no actual effect on the kid, ( I don't if it does or deosnt never looked into it) it is still gross to do especially if you don't have to do it. There were plenty of other options for the placement of this child while the 3 way took place. None of the other options were difficult or costly either.

And, Yes this particular thing happens more than once. I was under the assumption the kid was with a babysitter or something. Of course I learned that is not the case.

I shared a room with my parents for years and they’d just do it right there, no shame whatsoever.

    • Okay, but do you bring a third party in and have loud sex whilst the rest of your sleeping childeren were present?

In general, I find it odd when a couple intercourse when childeren are present, but I understand sometimes its necessary given the circumstances.

I also feel like that most who do, are decent enough to be quiet about it as to not wake the child; And if the child did wake up it would be discreet enough that the child could not tell what exactly was actually going on.

I have a memory from when I was six weeks old so no, I would not do such a thing in front of a child.
