Is it normal to hate your teacher

You secretly love him-think about it...

You should ask him 'instead of telling me I'm horrible all the time, would you honestly mind telling me how I can improve? i'd appreciate it, because then you wouldn't be demotivating me from ever practicing guitar again.'

Maybe you need to pratice more.

Maybe you are horrible, and/or maybe that's his way of motivating you. Would you rather he tell you you're great when really you suck? It's hard to find people who will tell you the truth.

Tell him that he is an asshole. Since you pay you deserve a service.

U shouldn't have to hate your teacher. Get a different one if he makes u feel that way.

Guitar teachers seem to have a nasty habit of being complete douchebags. Next time tell him off or call him an asshole to his face.

He won't do anything about it.

You may have a stronger personality then him and you may not like to be directed.. I had to deal with that at work. Its ok to not know things and accept help.
Try taking the advise on board rather then feeling like it's a personal attack. It is perfectly normal to not like having weaknesses. I hate it too.

Are you paying for him? If so get a new one, with practical things like that it really helps to be comfortable with whoever is teaching you so you can pick it up
