It's pretty normal to me. I absolutely hate my name. It just makes me mad that I was not able to pick out my name from the start lol. My parents named me :( and when people read my name they always mess it up. I like the way my name is pronounced but the spelling is horrible. I suggest others not to name there kid something with silent letters like with a "tia" ending because people can't read lol Letia is pronounced Lateesha not La'Tia.
Okay, this feels better to get off my chest.
I think it's normal. I hated my name when I was young, people always got it wrong because it sounds similar to another name.
But my mum wanted to call me Amelia Jane, so I love my name now.
yeah its normal that's why i wish i had a time machine so i can go to my mother in the past and tell her the name i want.... i hate my name
I hate when people call me Zachary so I make them say zach, Zachary sounds kidisd
I didnt like mine when i was five and i wanted it to be rocket but i knew a kid when i was younger and his dads name was harry winer
I had the same feelings about my given name. It was foreign and no one could pronounce it and I got tired of always having to repeat it, or pronounce it right for someone a thousand times. When I got to middle school I changed it. I went by a different form of my name (think Anne forming into Annita) Now everyone calls me the name I want and I love it! My family calls me by my given name and my friends and co-workers call me by the name I love :)
I know how to spell my last name super fast for hotel receptionists because I, too, come from a small country with a weird language ;D But I actually like my name a lot, because it's so weird internationally!
