I hate a couple of my mothers friends. Mostly because they think they know everything and that just because i'm young that I don't know shit. And they think they can tell me what to do, but they just can't.. and all the time I'm telling them how it is and for some reason it just doesn't seem to get through to them. IIN?
They shouldn't be telling you what to do. If they are your moms friends, they really should be just that.
Next time they say something you don't like, just polietly tell them you don't care to hear their advice. That's your moms job, not her friends
It's not easy being your age. I was your age once and it wasn't easy for me, either. To an extent, I felt the same way you did. Because I feel differently now, it doesn't make you wrong or me right. If anything, it means how you feel is normal.
I can understand why you can't get through to your mother's friends. It's because, as you say, they automatically think they know better and that it's not worth listening to you. It just shows them to be ignorant.
If you print out your post and stick it away in a box somewhere then bring it back out when you've got kids the age you are now, you'll probably do a much better job than your mother's friend are.

Obviously teens know everything. Just look at their lives, so rich and full of experiences to share with the world. I don't know what I'd do if they weren't around to give me advice on fashion and music.
Teen angst....gotta love it. It's normal and we all thought certain adults knew nothing and that our inexperienced self knew all the answers.
