Is it normal to hate your friends?

I live in an excruciatingly small town and my options of friends is rather poor. I've been forced to become friends with people I don't really care for simply because they're the only handful of people who get along with each other and like the same things as me.

However, I can't stand any of them and wish desperately I could move out of this place and go somewhere larger in an attempt to find people who not only share the same interests as me but are also actually GOOD friends.

So... is it normal to hate your friends?

    If you hate them, they aren't your friends. You shouldn't string people along.
