Is it normal to hate writing this much?

  • Once you find your writing voice it makes writing pretty fun. I once wrote a 52 page paper on fractals and chaos theory in a math class I took. I took a creative approach with a strong voice, and it's now the model paper for that class. I also took a final in graduate school in my literary theory class, and I wrote a 17 page play where the characters (teacher, student)discussed Jacques Lacan's "The Symbolic Order" in great detail pertaining it to the required novel. I took a leap of faith on both accounts and got lucky that they accepted my work. I'm a full time writer and a par time teacher. SO, once you find your personal writing voice, it's like swinging in he playground. HOWEVER, in high school I sucked at writing!
