You are correct. Even so my father still told me that when I was 12. He said "Well get a job"! I asked him how to get a job. He would get upset since I tried making up all these get rich quick schemes. Yet would get angry when I was 14 and would not stop trying to get one. It also is not fair since kids with business families get to have jobs earlier. Which everyone I new had family owned businesses. So they got all this money from jobs and I was not allowed to work. Which was unfair and stupid. My dad said it was ok when he was a kid to be 10 and toss papers. Now you have to be 18 and usually have a driver license which is complete shit. Why I do not think labor laws actually help children. They just crippled them making them more dependent on parents. So a lot of these 18 year olds do not have anything on record they can use to get a job. They can not say "I tossed papers when I was 10".
Is it normal to hate when people say kids should find a job?
