Is it normal to hate when a parent pierces their baby's ears?

I personally hate it. Let the kid decide whether it wants pierced ears when it's older. After all it's not like it benefits the child.

That could be a hazard to the child - what happened if the baby manages to pull the studs out (and hurting themselves in the process) and shallow the damn things?!

Many things similar to this can be said. Aka circumcision for a new born. People have different opinions and you're aloud for yours but it won't change what a parent wants to do to his child. The child might be happy to have had them pierced young or could be mad by at, it all depends.

Aren't they adjusting the appearence of their child when their to young to give consent?

Not a fan of it either. Im a lady without pierced ears my parents never pressured me and I got to the point when I wanted them. I don't feel different.

I hear the baby screach in pain and then the mother tpuches the babies ear to see the new peircing which then irritates the ear more
Whats worse is if the mother gets lazy and doesnt care for the peircing (it is a sort of wound) it can get infected and the babies ear lobe would need to be removed

I have my ears done and i had them peirced when i was 10 by my choice.
They were swollen and on fire for atlest an hour and a half

I think pierced ears on a baby girl is really cute it just makes her look prettier my mom got my ears pierced when I was 6mths old I turned out fine never hurt me

I dont think any girl necessarily looks bad, but I dont agree with people that pierce baby BOYS ears.

Ear piercings on babies can be kind of cute. However I think parents should wait and let their kids get their ears pierced when they are old enough to know how to take care of the piercings by themselves. Babies can pull the earrings out if they aren't being watched. Not only could this lead to them choking, but they could tear their earlobes too.

My dad was really angry at my sister a few days ago, because she brought my niece to get her ears pierced, but she's still just a baby. In fact, she's three months old. But my mom was all like, "It doesn't matter. It's fine!". And my mom got my ears pierced when I was just a baby too. She said that she had me get them when I was young, because she figured I would make a big deal about it if I were older. I kinda see how my dad was angry though. Sometimes its a risk for infection which makes it ten times worse for a baby. So I understand why you wouldn't like when parents pierces their baby's ears.

Later they can have pierced ears without having to have it done. honestly it doesn't hurt, I remember having mine done. It is cute and they are always used to earrings and dont have to deal with learning to live with them. Like when u first get them done and thy catch on your clothes.

Its not very painful. I had mine done when i wa 6 months old and they just made me prettier:) i dont remember gettin them or the pain. Now i got a 2nd hole whats the big deal
