      Anyone can get Big Bang Theory jokes, they aren't complex at all. The show wouldn't be so popular otherwise.

        Actually some of their jokes are more sophisticated, which does require more intelligence, it's a show about nerds so that's expected.

        Some people just don't get humor.

          If you notice, whenever they make a "sophisticated" joke, they explain beforehand the reference they talk about. They do that 100% of the times, just watch and you will notice. Usually Sheldon is the one who says: "are you familiar with X theory?"
