  • Judges 11:29-40
When he made his vow, it would seem that his eagerness caused him to give his daughter to the Lord. This is like when John the Baptist was beheaded to the king's dismay when he allowed his daughter to have whatever she wished if she were to dance for him, or when Esau gave up his birthright to Jacob for a meal. So they lost something because of a quality a man of God ought not have.

    Judges 21:10-24
Did you read Judges 21:25? It says that everyone did what was right in their own eye. God did not instruct them to do anything in this chapter.

    Exodus 21:15
Remember the commandment "Honor thy father and mother". The Bible also says that a man ought not to provoke his children. (A man is not allowed to abuse his children)

    Deuteronomy 13:7-12
One of the ten commandments states that no one should have any God other than the Lord God. The Bible also says that sin is not counted where it is not known. If a man sins before he was saved then he is forgiven when the Lord becomes his God and he has confessed his sins, but if he does the same thingsafter he is saved and he did not not repent of them he will be judged. So it would be different if he had not known God, remember iit sais if a brother or sister (as in fellowship with God) had done this they were to be put to death, this would be so with a person they did not have fellowship with.
Furthermore, the Bible also states that if a man were to blasphemy the Holy Spirit (denying the Lord's power or existence) after being saved he has no hope of salvation. So it is fitting that if one has known God and has set his heart against Him to die if he tries to break up the congregation by convincing others to so the same.

I don't think adding more fuel to the fire helps any.

"So they lost something because of a quality a man of God ought not have."

No. That girl died. SHE lost her life without doing anything wrong, save going to see her father when he came back from battle.

"God did not instruct them to do anything in this chapter."

Because God has kept a strict policy of not interfering when people do things he doesn't like, right? Yahweh has a history of destroying those who disobey or go against him at all so his inaction here can be taken as roughly condoning the actions.

"Remember the commandment "Honor thy father and mother". The Bible also says that a man ought not to provoke his children. (A man is not allowed to abuse his children)"

How does this help at all? So it's honor your father and mother or die? Good plan to enact with children. They understand long-term consequences and causal relationships perfectly, right?

"So it would be different if he had not known God, remember iit sais if a brother or sister (as in fellowship with God) had done this they were to be put to death, this would be so with a person they did not have fellowship with."

Great so you're telling me the Bible advocates for the death of me and several million other ex-Christians out there in the world. Brilliant.

"So it is fitting that if one has known God and has set his heart against Him to die if he tries to break up the congregation by convincing others to so the same."

And you agree with the Bible's conclusion apparently.
