  • I believe that some people being naturally gifted should not be a hinderance to you. Like "Sailorvenus" said, if it motivates you to work hard than work harder. If it takes you longer or requires more work on your part, than it's most likely going to be more self rewarding for you. I myself, having personally climbed a real mountain (lol) know how difficult that is. When I finally reached the top, one of the first thoughts that came to me was "this beautiful view from the top of this mountain is worth it because of how hard it is to get here". Think of your situation as that mountain. If I could perform a single leap and make it at the same spot, it would be far less satisfying. Right now I'm in fitness and I want you to know this. I hope there is ALWAYS someone better than me. I hope there is always someone who excels beyond my reach. I truly do, and do you know why? because if I know there's someone better out there, then I know there's room for growth; and I know that if there's ALWAYS someone better out there, that room for growth is infinite and expansive on a endless scale of possibilities. Keep doing what you're doing. When you have to work, don't let others pull you down, let them push you up. ^_^

    • That's pretty great advice. It is good to always have something towards. When I see someone develop that quickly, it just makes me wonder if I stand a chance. I just wish I could have some certainty that all of my hard work will pay off. I just need to keep working without letting it affect me too much and hope for the best.

      • ^_^ yea, just keep pushing yourself. If you're having to work harder than the other guy, then your eyes are ALWAYS on the goal. Just don't take them off. Let the hard times affect you, just in a way that can benefit your dreams. Take negative feelings, analyze them, and then harness them into positive motives to get you from one place to the other.
