Is it normal to hate sudden noises?

I live and work in a quiet environment and have noticed that noises such as a sneeze (or right now, fireworks outside my window from a neighbor) puts me on edge. Even my husbands coughing gets ob my nerves Is this normal?

    I hate sudden noises too. Like loud FARTS!!

    You need anti-anxiety medication. And since once again I've accidentally posted on a 4 year old thread (not 3, 2, or 1... a 4 year old thread) you are probably dead, in a mental institution, or simply stopped coming here a long time ago. Seriously, what the fuck is the point?

    Normal to me tho I don't know many ppl who feels this way. I hate noises apart from the ocean and wind.
