that's rude! i'm not scottish but i'd love to go there one day. maybe you're just tired of it, like where i live there are times that i just hate it and i just wanna move. but then after a while i realize canada's not that bad :P
maybe you just need to get out of the country for a while to see how great it is!
also about the ancient buildings, you could look at it as if they're ugly and old or you could look at them as historical, symbolic, and worth a lot
