It makes me feel pretentious to be quite honest with you.
I normally just say no problem. I don't even expect "thank yous" unless it's genuinly something that they couldn't or would have much difficulty doing themselves. If it's something they they could have easily done themselves, I do not feel that I need to be thanked for being in the right place at the right time.
I prefer to say no problem. Just sounds less formal. I prefer not to be formal in my everyday life because being casual tends to put people at ease and I don't like to see people's butt cheeks clenched when they walk away.
Is it normal to hate saying You're welcome ?
