Is it normal to hate obvious plots and endings in movies?

I hate it when movies have things like too obvious endings or when they are easier to predict in the actual plot

Some are SUPPOSED to be obvious you simpleton. It depends on the film.

I remember this one dude made a big deal out of the movie, The Usual Suspects, and I figured it out in like five minutes, then the stupid guy got upset, and didn't want to watch the movie. I honestly didn't care. I'm one of those people who doesn't care about spoilers. If I'm watching a movie, or reading a book, and someone tells me how it ends I honestly don't give a shit. I never understand people who get so upset if you tell them how a book, or movie ends that they just can't finish it... meh.

The only thing that pisses me off more than an obvious plot is an inconsistent plot.

Depends on the genre. In action and comedy a predictable outcome is more acceptable.

Me too. The quality of writing has gone to the dumpster in recent years. They either remake good oldies badly, or come with convoluted plots that make no sense.

Same. I like those kinda complex movies you can think about and analyze for days after you saw it or movies or ones with mindblowing plot twists.
Simple movies with obvious endings can still be entertaining though especially if its a comedy. Sometimes you just wanna watch something light.
