Oh this is really wierd i have a similar situation cutting, dad doing illegal things, divorce and now i should feel like i have the perfect life (well other ppl seem to think i do) but i dont feel its that great i break alot aswell and ive came to the conclusion its because im not doing what i want and everyones perception of perfect life is different you just need to find out what your perfect life would be a take small steps to make that happen but rememeber nothing will ever be perfect and yer it helped me understand alot abot myself by seeing a docter but in the end u will work it out good luck xo
