  • Mc'Donalds and healty is quite an oxy-moron. There is nothing healthy about Maccas healthy options, trust me I have looked into them very deeply as I am a Vegan and I want to expose them for everything they really are. Even their salads are so heavily dosed with pestecides and chemicals to keep them looking fresh that they are doing more bad than good. Have you seen the Maccas experiement where they take a Maccas meal and a home made version and age them both for ten years? After five years the Maccas meal looks the same and the home made meal is barely a pile of fungi. There is also the fact they use extremely low grade meat for their burger, the so called meat they used is bone and fat that is died to look like meat, I know because I helped build the building that does this process. Besides the consumption of animal protein (meat, eggs and dairy) are the biggest health epidemic known to man kind today, "animal protein has killed more people in the last decade than all the automobile accidents, all the natural disasters and all of the world wars combinded" Dr. Collin Cambell. Then there is also the animal cruelty behind the production of animal protein and the fact that this production is destroying the planet faster than any other industry in the world. Check out these docomentaries if you really want to know what is being hidden from you A Delicate Balance, Forks Over Knives, these doco's are based on the worlds longest largest running health study to date "A China Study" these doco's are in no way graphic. Then check out "Meet Your Meat" to see where Maccas gets its factory farmed meat form, this Doco is free on youtube.

    • Dont trust anything that PETA puts up.

Im not defending factory farms,( some are horrible) but (in the us), they do have standards.

if thats real footage from a slaughterhouse, the the place in question would be shut down and have their licence revoked. That is a violation of basic sanitary guidelines, if in the U.S.

They shut down that farm in California for health and handling violations when they tried to push sick cows to slaughter in forklifts.

I dont know about other countries, but that's how it is in the us, and how its been since 1908.

    • No, what they do is they buy used up old dairy cows, or cows that are 'down' meaning they have a serious injury or illness (I know this because I and my family have sold numerous old cows, they are sold for consumption). They mix that low grade meat with lots of fat and artificial flavoring. It's terrible meat that would be impossible to sell as anything other than ground meat with added fat and flavoring.

The USDA mandates that any meat by-products used are disclosed to the consumer, so things like bone or eyeballs would have to be reported.

      • They may do that overseas for maccas but in Australia are large portion of the "meat" comes form this processing plant at the slaughterhouse I worked at and it was just bone, fat and smidgens of meat. I know what you are talking about using "spent" (sick and depleted) dairy cows for hamburgers they do it here but it is not for maccas just for mince in general.

          • Yeah what was really disguting was seeing all the workers walk around stop on fat, bones and meat and then put it back on the conveyor belt. Doing construction work at this slaughter house is what sent me Vegan.
