  • I hate it too, very traumatic.....
Then, there's a shitload of subliminal messages.

    • not to mention the implied incest.

iirc there was only one lioness, therefore simba and his girl-lion (i forgot her name) were from the same mother

(although that really is normal for lions)

      • That never occurred to me. The other day I was thinking about the sequel and the relations. Scar is Simba's brother or uncle and in the "outlands" Kobu's mother acted like she was with Scar, but I think Scar was her brother. Yet, Kobu is told to befriend the lions in the "pridelands" and win the trust of Simba's daughter. Both of which are related. Then the lions from the "out lands" switch sides and join the ones in the "pride lands". You'd think it would be new DNA, but knowing sick disney, everyone's probably related!

I think Simba's lover was "Nala".

Also, the whole thing about the Lions being friends with the other inhabitants of the "Pride" didn't make any sense. They way they implied things, the lions would've been forced to become vegetarians and then die from lack of protein and taurine. In reality, they wouldn't of given a second thought to the "Inhabitants" in the Pride. They would become slave to their need for meat and there's absolutely no way in hell, that the "royal page" would be a bird and nor would their "wise man" be a Baboon.

But if you compare the subliminal messages in this film with other Disney films which would be the worst? They all have the hidden word "sex" and tallywagger imagery.

    • Agreed. I haven't seen it in a while, but didn't Scar mention declining property values after the hyenas moved into the Pridelands?
