Is it normal to hate just one class?

I’m normally a calm person with a desire to learn anything the school teaches me, but when it comes to Spanish I loathe and hate it so much that just thinking about it makes me physically sick and sometimes cry.

either teaching.style or subject would be boring
if its about the teacher, when the teacher changes subject wont be boring

a good teacher can even make a subject interesting

I hated chemistry in school with a passion. It was a boring and useless subject I'd never use. I mean, when would I ever need to mix chemicals to make other chemicals?!

I sell cars for a living! Nobody else in the class took up a job that required chemistry knowledge either.

My stance on chemistry wasn't helped by the fact our teacher was an old, communist hag that wanted each and every one of us to be good enough at chemistry to receive a Nobel prize!
We didn't learn from the standard textbooks, we learned university grade chemistry from old soviet books, some had missing elements, cause they were discovered later.
She always spoke in a loud, condescending tone, always thought we were stupid and would often tell us that and never wished anyone a happy birthday. You'd walk up to her, offer candy (custom in Europe), she'd take it, say "Very well!" and dismiss you.

Everyone quickly learned not to say they had a birthday and save their candy and mood.

And tests were absolutely brutal. We took university term final exams as regular tests. I barely managed to score an E, or a D. I had a few Fs too.
We even had a few tests that were in RUSSIAN!!!
Only one person in our class got As and Bs, my (then) girlfriend. She was a colossal nerd and actually enjoyed chemistry.

Practice sessions were even worse, cause she'd go around checking religiously if everyone was adding the exact amount of X to Y. How do I know how much 3mg of whatever acid I have to pour in, when I don't have a small enough container to measure it?!
    Fuck chemistry!

The only chemistry you need to really know is stuff they put in food, look out for too many Es, stabilizers and whatever.
The fancier and more chemical sounding, the less eco and natural said food ingredient is.
And how to properly use cleaning products. Like not using bathroom cleaner, or kitchen de-greaser on wooden surfaces, or knowing that Coca Cola makes an excellent rust remover for car parts.

You were taught chemistry with old Soviet university textbooks? That's insane! I bet that old lady's version of science is very different to what we understand today...

It was, she had the soviet flag on display in the room. The principal knew of this, but everyone turned a blind eye, cause she did have several awards in chemistry, had been a teacher for over 40 years and all of her top students had won chemistry competitions across Bulgaria and sometimes in other coutnries. All in all, considered a great teacher. But every student knew that bitch was batshit insane!

She also firmly believed Chernobyl was caused by the West, sabotage by the US and some other western country. Idiocy at it's finest.

A chemistry teacher, an "expert', but too stupid to see the flaws in a positive void coefficient reactor! Yeah, what could possibly go right with that...

I dunno, but I made a "D" in college Spanish almost 30 years ago. I took German in high school, and for some reason that came more naturally to me. I imagine the more interested in a foreign language you are the easier it is to study.

I hated geometry and anything to do with PE in school (but probably geometry the most). Everything else was meh and I lived through it, but I thought geometry would never end.

I didn't have to do PE, because I was in the Marching Band!

Yeah... I don’t understand how people can do it. In literally every other class I get As and Bs but I’ve failed Spanish twice. I hate it so fucking much.
