It would bother me. And that is why there is a thing called table manners. I don't think I'd lose it. But eating noises irritate me for some reason, especially when people really make no effort and relish in making noise - it sounds downright piggy, to me.
But while people should have manners - and many do not - I admit I have a problem too. Pleasant dinner music helps mask the noise. Being direct in a gentle way about it helps. But also you just have to learn to cope.
Is it normal to hate it when a granny with no teeth slurps her soup?
