Is it normal to hate hugs?

They make me extremely uncomfortable as well. I literally cannot remember the last time I willingly touched someone. Completely normal. They're just not for some people.

Hugs aren't for everyone. Some people are very awkward huggers too. I hated being touched, even in friendly platonic gestures for the same reason. Then I just realized I don't trust contact with most people. It's nice when you find someone who doesn't set off the bristling.

Hugs make me uncomfortable and usually don't like giving or receiving them. I don't know why, but it could be because I suffered through some child abuse and have a fear of being touched somewhat because of so.

How I feel about a hug depends on who the person is who wants to hug me.
